One my first read, this article seems like a great idea for a major world disease problem, but the more I think about it, the more it freaks me out. It has B-Grade Mutant Mosquito Movie written all over it...

I understand making skeeters that can't carry malaria, good job there. But how do these genetically-enhanced cuties muscle out their counterparts? I was expecting an explanation of how they have bigger foreparts, or a nasty right hook, or fight dirty.
