I think this Sports Illustrated article is much closer to the point as to why some Americans can't get behind soccer, rather than the often trite excuse of "not enough scoring".
He covers the Zidane incident with a refreshing perspective, and I can't say I disagree

This Dr. Z article seemed like one thing. An attention grab. A million other people are saying one thing...one person says the opposite. Of course people are going to read his article, whether they agree with it or not.
It's too bad I can't tell what Dr. Z really feels about the whole incident.
then again, maybe I'm just jaded against any kind of published print.
