i like how each ball is caught as well.
can'y get this to play, but if it is the one i am thinking of, then ATI, has made a realtime 3d demo of the same animation to show off the power of their video cards
Yep, that's the one. Back in 2002 when 8 floating point pixel shaders and DX9 arrived, with 256bits of bandwidth, nvidia went into hiding, ATI launched the Radeon9700 and the lead demo was AniMusic. The link is http://www.ati.com/developer/demos/r9700.html
You can actually grab the executable and run it in real time on your own machine. You should also be able to stop the demo and look around. It was very cool in the day ...
